Oh to see clearly!
Near to my home is a splendid hill. It is where buildings stop and countryside takes over. You can see for miles; hills of green, farmlands, ever-changing skies – the river beneath. I go out of my way to drive there; coffee – with a view.
I did it again today – went out of my way and found the view still beautiful in its own way.
All I could see was the silhouette of a tree against a soft white background that went as far as the eye could see.
Nothingness. The end of the world. Coffee – with no view.
Driving through you could see hints of what was there – brief snippets suggesting the scene but if you did not know… if you had never seen …you would never guess that glorious sight now hidden from view.
It was the start of a new year. Days of possibilities were before us with the problems we knew of in the foreground and behind it – fog! Nothingness! Secrecy!
We have to live with some not knowing. It is easy to focus on the problems we see – but don’t you think that what could be is a more exciting outlook?
We see in part. One day the fog will clear to a glorious view.
